Mez McConnell (Minister)

Mez has been the pastor of Niddrie Community Church since September 2007. Prior to that he spent 4 years with UFM Worldwide working with street children in Brazil, and planted the Good News Church in one of the most deprived parts of the country.
Mez has been involved in full time pastoral ministry since 1999 in various capacities and has written 2 books: Preparing for Baptism: A Personal Diary (Grace Publications Trust), and Is There Anybody Out There (Christian Focus).
He is married to Miriam and has 2 girls, Keziah and Lydia.
Sharon Dickens (Community Development Worker)

Sharon is has been a member of the Ministry Team for 3 years and a member at NCC for 7 years or so. She has over 20 years experience working in the community primarily with families and people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. She has two teenagers - Emily and Bobby.
Mike Stark (Youth Worker)
I'm in my 3rd year at NCC as youth worker. In addition to overseeing traditional clubs, I do a lot of one-2-one and group work. We have a strong partnership with the local high school, and lots of my time is spent up there.
Prior to NCC I worked for a year at Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh as their youth worker, and in accounting at KPMG. I have an MA(Hons) in English Literature and History from the University of Edinburgh, and recently completed a BA in Youth Work with Applied Theology from International Christian College in Glasgow.
I maintain an active lifestyle, particularly like rock climbing, rugby and cycling. Recently cycled London to Paris and Lands End to John O'Groats on 2 separate trips with my bro, Rick. In December this year, I'll marry the girl of my dreams, Helen, who is a high school French and German teacher.
Steven Hutchison (Pastoral Assistant)

I am married to my beloved Heather (I still can’t believe she married me!), and have one beloved daughter. I have had the privilege of serving on the NCC staff team since April 2010.
Miriam McConnell (Café Manager)

Miriam is married to Mez. She has been the Café Manager for 2 years now.
Prior to joining the staff team at NCC, Miriam and Mez spent 4 years with UFM Worldwide working with street children in Brazil. Miriam's main focus was prevention and was heavily involved in establishing a Christian pre-school project and various children's Bible clubs.
Miriam not only manages the cafe but is involved in the wider ministries of the church, including pastoral counselling.
Miriam is also mother to 2 girls, Keziah and Lydia.
Andy Constable (Pastoral Assistant)

I'm the Pastoral Assistant here at Niddrie. I am 25 and married to a lovely lady called Debbie. I love sport, reading and going to the cinema. I graduated from Edinburgh University with a MA in Divinity and started working for the church in January 2010 after working for a year in a township called Manenberg in Cape Town.
Daniel Melo da Silva (Intern)
Daniel joined the church in September 2010 through our flexible internship programme.
He's gaining experience across a range of church ministries including: café, football team, youth and children's work, and various ad hoc community work.
Prior to joining the team, he worked with Mez in Brazil with street children.
He is currently studying English to improve his language skills, and in the future, aims to develop a children's football coaching programme.
He is married to Lindsey.
