people
Bringing good news and introducing the teaching of Jesus to Niddrie means working in partnership with the local community and supporting the work of local groups by getting alongside people with a variety of needs. We need to be able to respond to their shifting needs as best as we can.
The church has two pastors and a small team of elders and deacons.
Mez McConnell has been minister in Niddrie since September 2007, having previously worked as a missionary in Brazil with UFM.
Jez Dearing joined as Associate Pastor in December of that year, having previously served in youth ministry in Birmingham.
Les Beattie and Iain Devereux serve as elders, while Colin Gillies is our deacon.
Sharon Dickens joined the staff as Community Development Worker in May 2008.
The fellowship currently has about fifty members, all of whom are actively involved wherever possible in the life of the church. About ninety people attend the Sunday morning service, and many more pop into the building during the week's activities.
